Home Repair Overview
Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads believes that everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home. Our Home Repair Program helps eligible homeowners address critical repairs that impact health, safety, accessibility, and long-term housing stability.
Through funding from local municipalities, foundations, and generous donors, Habitat SHR partners with homeowners to complete essential repairs that allow families to remain in their homes and communities. These repairs focus on maintaining safe, warm, and dry living conditions and may include accessibility improvements that support aging in place.
All repairs are completed by licensed and insured contractors and are based on available funding, program guidelines, and identified community needs. While we are unable to address emergency situations or cosmetic renovations, our goal is to preserve housing stability and dignity for homeowners who need it most.
