Construction Mentors & Volunteer LeadersThe Red Hats are the heart of our construction sites. These long-serving, highly skilled volunteers provide leadership, mentorship, and hands-on guidance that make every Habitat build possible.
With years of experience on Habitat job sites, Red Hats support new and returning volunteers, lead team builds, and help homeowners understand the construction process. Their steady presence ensures our homes are built safely, efficiently, and with care, always grounded in Habitat’s mission.

Interested in Becoming a Red Hat?
Red Hats are self-selected from our most dedicated construction volunteers. This is not a publicly open role, but consistent commitment, leadership, and a willingness to mentor others never go unnoticed.
If you volunteer regularly on our build sites and demonstrate strong teamwork and leadership, you may be invited to join this special group.
