ReStore

Our ReStores are home improvement stores that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials and housewares to the general public.

When you donate to the ReStore, it:

  • helps the environment by keeping those items out of our landfills

  • provides your neighbors with affordable furniture

  • helps off-set Habitat SHR's administrative costs

Box Delivery

Drop off your items

Drop off gently used items between 9:00am and 4:30pm, Tuesday thru Saturday at one of our two ReStore locations.

Schedule a pick-up

Schedule your donation to be picked up by completing our online form, emailing donationpickups@shrhabitat.org, or calling (757) 640 -0594

What to Donate

Yes, please!

  • Appliances – Working & less than 10 years old.

  • Dishwashers – 5 years or newer

  • Bath Tubs – New/used in good condition fiberglass or whirlpool tubs only.

  • Building Materials – Hardware, siding, molding,etc.

  • Cabinets – Kitchen & bathroom (full sets preferred.)

  • Countertops – No sinkholes, granite, or corian

  • Doors – Without holes; No used bi-fold doors.

  • Electronics – Flat screen televisions, kitchen & office electronics 3 years old or less.

  • Flooring – In box quantities (150 sq. ft. or more)

  • Furniture – In good condition, no rips, tears or stains.

  • Housewares – Plates, cups, knick-knacks, home decor.

  • Lighting – Lamps, light fixtures, chandeliers, etc.

  • Sinks – Must remove faucets.

  • Toilets – With bowl & tanks, no rust with all hardware. White only.

  • Tools – Good quality hand or power.

  • Trim – Wood/vinyl in good condition, 6 feet or longer.

  • Windows – Insulated glass or storm windows. Vinyl doubled paned

  • Small computer desks

  • Children & Adult Safety Equipment –

  • Bike/Motorcycle helmets, kneepads. etc.

  • Hazardous Chemicals – pesticides & cleaning agents.

  • Infant & Toddler Products – Cribs, car seats, etc.

  • Paint

  • Unframed Glass/Mirrors

  • Water Heaters

  • Windows – Single Pane, wooden

  • China Cabinets

  • Entertainment Centers

  • Armoires

  • Mattress/Box springs

  • Office Desks
