This Week in Construction – Lake Kennedy Lot 9:
Lori Boone, our homebuyer, is very excited by how much work was accomplished on her house this week with her help, of course!
There was so much was done this week, it’s almost too much to list but we’ll try: The whole inside of the house was primed and painted, except for the doors. The baseboards, window sills and window aprons were set and caulked. The doors were set, caulked and frames were painted. Vanities and cabinets were set and the sink tops went on the vanities and the countertops were set. We finished the frieze board, set the porch posts and trimmed them out and got the last little pieces of siding in as well. All the soffit is complete on the porches and the mailbox was put up. Our subcontractor graded, seeded and lay straw in the yard and poured the driveway.
Next week vinyl flooring goes in, plumbing, HVAC and electrical final work will be done, doors will be painted, back splashes will be glued in, porch rails set, and landscaping will go in, along with cleaning and other miscellaneous work.
It takes a lot of hard work to get a house done and we couldn’t do it without all our volunteers, but we’d particularly like to thank our Red Hats who are stepping up to get this build done by Christmas.
