We are finally under way on the construction of Jeroline Blunt's home in Suffolk. The build is on South 5th Street just outside of downtown Suffolk. Jeraline's family of three has been in the Habitat program for the past three years patiently waiting for land. Her patience has paid off and we're out there building.
Construction on her two story, 1200 square foot, home began on United Way's "Day of Caring", Sept. 7, 2007. Target Corporation and the City of Suffolk Public Works and Utilities department both came out to get the home started. They had the opportunity to meet the new homebuyer and work side by side. There will be volunteers on site each Saturday, from 9am-3pm. Denis is the volunteer build leader on this build and we truly appreciate his time and dedication.
Dedication for this home is planned for May 10 at 2pm. Please come join us and support Jeraline on her new role as a homebuyer!
