Tides’ mascot Rip Tide at the Rebuilding the American Dream home dedication launch.

This year Habitat SHR will host a gathering to reunite with all partner families – where we share success stories and delight in the accomplishments of our new and prospective homeowners. As we continue our efforts aimed at supporting the Rebuilding the American Dream Campaign, it’s fitting that we celebrate this reunion with the Norfolk Tides! On Saturday, August 16 at 7:00 p.m., we’re “taking our families out to the ball game” for an evening of good old fashioned fun – complete with hotdogs, popcorn, fireworks – but we NEED you to join us!

In support of our RAD initiative, The Norfolk Tides has partnered with Habitat SHR and will donate a portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold. We encourage you to bring your family, tell a friend, or share with your church youth group – and help us eradicate poverty housing across South Hampton Roads. After watching the Tides triumph over the Gwinett Braves, be sure to stick around for the fireworks…it’s a spectacular show! Oh, and did we mention that our fearless leader, Wayne Lavender, will throw out the first pitch?! He’s pretty handy with a hammer, so we’re sure he’ll get the job done. (No pressure, Wayne.)

To purchase your tickets, please visit www.tidesgroups.com and enter the unique code: Habitat. Your ticket purchase of an $11 ticket will help 24 hardworking, low-income families obtain affordable homeownership. Come out and enjoy an All-American pastime, as we work to Rebuild the American Dream!
