Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads is no more immune to the recession than any one else. Our families are in the same, if not greater need, and we need your help more than ever.
We're looking for land. If you know of any land in any of the six geographic areas served by HFHSHR, please let us know.
We're looking for donations. Clean out the garage, the closet, the storage unit! Our stores are always in need of quality donations of clothing, fixtures, appliances, building materials or whatever to serve our community.
We need money to buy land and materials to build homes. I know it's a difficult time, but dig deep! Every dollar from every person helps.
We're looking for volunteers. We're growing and we work more than just Saturdays. We need office help, warehouse help, adminstrative help and, as always, good construction help. We have lots of volunteers who want to work, but only a few paid staff to guide their willing labors. If you want to be a part of the family ... contact us.

Building Materials at Rock Bottom Prices!
The economic downturn has at least one good outcome. Construction companies, large and small, are clearing out their inventories of materials. And, they donate those unwanted supplies to our General Stores. We have doors, windows, toilets, shingles, siding and a myriad of other items you might just need for that 'not-so-extreme home makeover'. Come on in and look. Both stores have building materials. We welcome browsers. Oh, and if you have building materials you no longer need. Give us a call and we'll come take them off your hands.
