Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads (Habitat SHR) will assist homeowners in Suffolk affected by the recent tornadoes with minor non-structural emergency home repairs (i.e. broken windows, holes in roof) and clean-up through Habitat SHR’s “A Brush with Kindness” program. "A Brush With Kindness" (ABWK) is a new program that our affiliate has launched. This unique program allows groups like yours - church, business and community groups to volunteer and financially support short term home-repair projects for low-income and elderly - homeowners, while providing an opportunity to make a lasting impact. The concept of the program is to connect the right people (those with a need and those who can help) and rejuvenate homes with...you got it...a brush of kindness.
